• Is taking (or has taken within the last 14 days) any medications known as MAO inhibitors (e.g., moclobemide, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine)
• Is taking (or has taken within the last 14 days) herbal remedies like St. John's w
• Is taking (or has taken within the last 14 days) antidepressants (e.g., fluvoxamine, paroxetine, sertraline, venlafaxine) or antipsychotics (e.g., haloperidol) for psychiatric illness
• Is taking or has taken fluoxetine (antidepressant) in the last 5 weeks
• Is taking other weight loss medications
• Has had coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, abnormal heart rhythms, a stroke, or transient ischemic attack
• Has uncontrolled high blood pressure
• Had or has a history of anorexia nervosa or bulimia nervosa
